Hugh
Nightingale
Leading Kent
Magician
Actor
Many have said that 'a conjuror is
an actor playing the part of a magician'
So, in a sense Hugh is always acting a part in his professional career.
However Hugh also loves to act in a more traditional sense and has
played major roles
in many plays, comedies and music halls on the amateur stage over the
last 20 years or so .
2010 - "Off the Hook"
by Derek Benfield

"Hugh
Nightingale stole the night
for me playing brilliantly the wrongly sprung minor criminal Harold
Spook with an excellent ‘Brummy’ accent, wonderful expression of the
eyes and hand movements."
ANNE LAWSON - NODA
(National Operatic and Dramatic Association)
"Now for what was described to me as a cross between Larry Grayson and Frank Spencer… Hugh Nightingale. He entered in bonds, but there were certainly no restrictions to the life he brought to his character. A great comedy accent, and physicality he exuded from the word “go”." - Nick Jeal

2007 - "Cash on Delivery" by Michael Cooney
"Hugh Nightingale was as professional as ever and rarely off stage. His role, as the arch fraudster Eric, relied on his character’s ability to think on his feet and, with Norman’s help, deliver a series of deceptions which just fed on each other." - Michael Freestone
