Very often two 'sets' of
guests
are meeting for the very first time - magic breaks the ice!
Immediately everyone has
something
in common to be entertained with and to discuss
"I think it went up his sleeve."
"No, he hid it behind his ear!" etc. etc.
Magic is appropriate at
many
times during the course of the wedding reception and I find the best to
be the last half hour or so of the drinks reception and then around the
tables during the wedding breakfast.
During the drinks I perform 'mix and mingle' magic. This keeps all the guests happy especially if there are any delays with photographs etc.
Once the guests are seated for
the
meal, I entertain with close-up magic at the tables. This is discreet
to
each table and does not dominate the proceedings in the room or
interrupt
the catering. Bursts of laughter and applause will be heard from around
the room which greatly adds to the atmosphere of celebration making it
a very special day that everyone will remember.
