A couple of recent testimonials for your information
Dear Hugh
Just a short note to thank you, once again, for your excellent performance at our wedding celebrations at Penshurst Place on June 10th.
Your magical skills were a talking point all afternoon and all evening. Whenever there was a lull in the conversation (which wasn't often!), I would hear '`How did he do that!" or "I don't believe that. It was absolutely impossible!" or 'I was watching his hands all the time and didn't see a thing!" Our guests are still talking about you today, three weeks after the event.
I was also very conscious, watching you perform, that you always ensured that your interruptions, at each table, were perfectly timed to avoid serving, eating and any deep conversation - a skill in itself!
Your performance was truly magical, in every sense, and contributed hugely to a memorable day.
Many thanks again.
Yours sincerely, Richard and Terri
Dear Hugh
Just a quick (and rather belated) email to say a big thank you for your fantastic performance at our wedding reception at Moor Park Golf Club - we have been meaning to write to you for a while now but what with the honeymoon and then a trip to the US last month, we have had very little time to ourselves at home - so I thought I would drop you an email today rather than writing a formal letter.
The guests (and we) loved your tricks and your banter - I think your presence really helped the evening get started and made a huge impact on the way the whole evening subsequently flowed. A number of guests have commented on the wedding, and 'the magician' especially!
Once again, thank you - rest assured your name and details have been circulated where requested so I hope you get plenty of referrals from our side....and I'd be happy to recommend you to anyone, or provide a customer reference should that ever be required.
Best regards
Gareth Vincent
What makes me different from other magicians?
Well, I will provide laughter and amazement for you and your guests. They will be amazed by the fun, skill and professionalism of my act. But after many years entertaining at weddings and similar functions, I know there is a lot more I can add to your day in addition to my entertainment. I am there to help your wedding be a day to be remembered and enjoyed by all. I work closely with the organisers, caterers, toastmaster, family and guests to ensure everything runs smoothly.
How do I do thisÖÖÖ.
* When many of the guests are sitting down with people they have never met before at their table, my magic will ìbreak the iceî and once I have been there everyone will be discussing the magic just as soon as they have finished laughing and clapping.
* Whilst the wedding party is busy with the official photographer, I will entertain and enchant your guests with close-up magic
* At the wedding breakfast, tables are often served one at a time. I liase with the caterers and start entertaining the tables who will be served last and thus waiting longest.
* I identify guests who seem left out on the sidelines and hardly know anyone; I integrate them into the party so that everyone feels part of your special day
* I spot queues, bottlenecks and delays and cover them with entertainment and fun. The guests will be completely oblivious they have been standing or waiting for 15 minutes: they will be too busy laughing!
* And what happens when everyone has to dive for cover in the marquee during that predictable English summer thunderstorm? Magic!
I find the time for the most effective entertainment is from the middle of the drinks reception through to the wedding breakfast until the speeches start.
People prefer to have their welcoming glass of champagne and then once everyone has arrived, and said their helloes I know it is the time to begin. If there are to be a number of children at the reception I can arrange a special childrenís magic show to take place in a separate room during the speeches or perhaps an additional attraction such as a face-painter to keep them amused throughout.
I can provide mix & mingle close-up if you are following the reception with an evening party or a comedy magic cabaret. This can be a great finale to the day and can involve the Bride and Groom if they are happy to take part!
